Welcome to the first performance of the Cantata Singers 60th Anniversary Season! Our season begins with Vivaldi’s incomparable Gloria in D and includes the world premier of Mumsie’s Call, music from the Story Music Project that tells the story of Holly Strickland who currently serves as the pastor of the Webb Mills United Methodist Church. The performance is free and open to all, and fully accessible. Free-will contributions gratefully accepted!

Singers please arrive before 2 pm, house opens at 2:30, music starts at 3 pm!

Join us to sing in this, our 60th anniversary season! St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church Parish House, 408 S. Main St., Horseheads, NY. We will distribute music for our December 2nd concert including the famous Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi, Dan Forrest’s gorgeous setting of Silent Night, an original version of O Come, Emmanuel by Elaine Hagenberg, Michael John Trotta’s Gloria from 2019, and Mumsie’s Call, the latest offering from the Story Music Project.

Snacks will be provided while singers sign in, collect music, and get to know each other before the rehearsal begins. You’ll hear a little bit about the group’s history, a lot about our upcoming season, and also have a chance to pay choir dues ($25/concert or $60 for the year if paid in advance).

Join us at The Park Church in Elmira, Saturday, Dec. 4th at 3 pm for a short concert featuring our favorite seasonal classics and carols!
